Peter Carl Bielawski is at the heart of every tattoo at Juniper Tattoo, and it’s easy to see where his passion comes from. He was first introduced to tattooing on his eleventh birthday during a visit to Cloud 9, a shop in Elk Horn, Minnesota, where both his father and uncle worked. From that moment, Pete was hooked.

Discovering that tattooing could not only be a creative outlet but also a viable career made the decision to follow in his father's footsteps an easy one. At just twelve years old, Pete attended a summer program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design—an early step that paved the way for his apprenticeship. He learned not only from his father, but also from coworkers and peers, allowing him to make significant strides in the field.

In the summer of 2009, Pete completed his apprenticeship and began tattooing professionally alongside his father and uncle.

Rather than specializing in a single style, Pete takes pride in being proficient across a wide range of tattooing techniques. His linework is crisp and clean, his black and grey shading is smooth and rich, and his color work remains vivid and long-lasting. He achieves all of this by letting the machine do the work—an approach that reflects his emphasis on precision and care.

Known for his gentle technique, Pete creates an environment where clients feel relaxed and at ease. He takes the time to consider each client’s needs, from design to ambiance and everything in between.
